Did you gain skill with familiar materials?
I've worked with pencil before, but this was a much more in depth project i tried hard to not go light with my values like i normally do. I really tried to just push as much of the value in all different types of areas even if it was really small.
Did you consider how ideas would work before you tried them?
I considered adding in some of the objects below the image above, but there were some objects that i felt would be too difficult to do, looking back on it now it would have been a much more interesting piece had i added in those other objects.
Did your work take an unexpected turn due to a mistake or did something happen that was unplanned?
As i started shading in more i found that i had missed a lot of detail objects like vines and the fabric the objects were resting on and so i had to go back in and get those details which was tricky because i had all these other objects shaded and it was hard to not smudge them while adding in the details so that meant going back in and doing a lot of fixes, i learned i really should work from left to right and getting everything finished and neat before moving on so as not to smudge it.
