- What material did you use for each bowl? Explain your process? All of my bowls are clay, one is a pinch pot and the other two were thrown on the wheel.
- How did the bowls turn out? I think the bowls I did on the wheel turned out the best and I'm proud of the way they look.
- What did you think about using the wheel? I really enjoyed it, it was quite therapeutic and refreshing, it was fun to get to shape clay so differently and get down and dirty with it.

1. what material did you have to work with?
I got the chance to work with some old piano keys. 2. How did you overcome the obstacle of using this material? The wood was really old so it didn't react too well to cutting with the Dremel, and the ivory started to chip off, the original shape i wanted wouldn't be possible to cut out and keep everything intact so i changed the shape to a circle to keep it simple. 3. What do you feel is most successful about your piece and what would you change for next time? I think the most successful part of the piece is keeping the piano keys the main point of it, next time i work with wood i definitely need to think about the limitations it has shape and form wise. 4. if you could change this project in anyway what would you have done? I would have changed the form i wanted right off the bat so that i wouldn't encounter the same dysfunction and stress about it. |
